Broward County: Fifth Annual Water Matters Day event

The Fifth Annual Water Matters Day event will take place at Tree Tops Park in Davie  on Saturday March 24, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Broward County encourages homeowners and new residents to attend the event along with their families. And, if you are not yet a Broward County resident and are searching for a home to buy in the Town of Davie, Weston City or any other community located along the County, be a part of the event and celebrate Water Matters Day together with the people that will be your neighbors soon. Local organizations, institutions and different types of business firms, in which Real Estate companies are also included, will exhibit educational booths spotlighting on different ecological issues including: water conservation, water quality, Everglades restoration and more. Broward County Commissioner Kristin Jacobs will take part in the opening ceremonies. There will be craft activities for children of all ages who will  enjoy face painting for sure. Admission to Tree Tops Park is $1 per person; admission for children five ages and under is free! Partners of Water Matters Day include: The Broward County Board of County Commissioners, the South Florida Water Management District, Cooper City, Weston City, Central Broward Water Control District, City of Fort Lauderdale, Coconut Creek, and the Town of Davie.
