Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Day in Weston

A very special event took place at Weston together with the West Broward YMCA and the Cypress Bay High School. They remembered with the community of Weston the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  In hopes of living in harmony in a world at peace plenty of love, justice, unity and freedom, Weston residents got the call and joined the event on January 14th, 2007. Real Estate Companies, Women organizations, Scout boys groups and many other community services attended the celebration. It was projected a true representation of what Dr. King hoped for all humankind.  High schools were invited to enter in a poetry-art contest about Dr. King revealing how his massive work touched their lives. Among expressive speakers were included the Honorable Judge Robert F. Diaz, Reverend Drs' Derrick and Lena Gellis, together with gospel singers and dancers.
