Two Orlando and Broward County Realtors honored by Florida Association of Realtors.

The Florida Association of Realtors has recently honored Broward County Realtor Charles Bonfiglio and Orlando Realtor Steve Chitwood  for winning the 2006 Realtor Humanitarian of the Year. The award was presented at the Association’s recent 90th annual Convention & Trade Expo that took place in Hollywood, Fla.
Bonfiglio is a member of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale.  He has been committed to Easter Seals, a community-based nonprofit health and human services group that gives medical treatments and vocational services to people with a number of disabilities. Bonfiglio gives time as well as money to this human cause and it is known that he has raised a quarter of a million dollars for Easter Seals of Broward County. On the other hand, an affiliate of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, Steve Chitwood was recognized for his merits in founding a new affordable housing program called "Art in Architecture.” The program eliminates the shame of unpleasant designs that frequently symbolize affordable housing. Chitwood has recruited Realtors, builders, architects and banks as partners in this new affordable housing program. Many housing projects are on the table and some others have been successfully completed.
